The CCES PTA’s Visiting Author program would like to present author and illustrator Duncan Tonatiuh. Read about Mr. Tonatiuh at this informational page compiled by the HCPSS Media Center. Mr. Tonatiuh will be at CCES on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
Students are invited to send in their own copies of Mr. Tonatiuh’s books for the author to sign. Books must be submitted to the Media Center by Friday, March 13, accompanyed by the submission form linked below. You will receive an email confirmation when the Media Center has received your book(s), and books will be returned to students within a day of the author’s visit.
CCES PTA’s International Night will be held on Friday, March 13th from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Join us for an evening of food, fun, crafts, the music of Irish bagpiper Kevin O’Brien, and a performance by the amazing dancers from Teelin Irish Dance School as we take a trip around the world and discover the many different cultures and countries that represent our students, family, and faculty at Clemens Crossing Elementary!
To make our biggest cultural event of the year a success, we need your help! Please sign up to be a ‘Country Host’ during the event. ‘Country Hosts’ are provided space to display any items you would like to bring to represent your country – a trifold of facts, books, clothing, artifacts, and, of course, food! We have space for approximately 20 different countries to be represented.
Do you have some spare time during the school day that you would be willing to invest in CCES? We have opportunities to work directly with children as well as clerical activities. We have an immediate need for afternoon help (2:35pm+) with sight words for 2nd graders. If you are interested, please contact Christy Pine at email@example.com to get involved! Thanks so much for your support! Even 20mins of your time can make a difference!
