Join us in the school media center for our monthly PTA meeting on Wednesday, February 12, at 7pm. All are welcome!
Our 2nd annual Maker Faire will be on January 29 at 6:15 pm. This is an opportunity for kids to show off their creations – submissions needed!
What is a Maker Faire?
A Maker Faire is a gathering of people interested in science, technology, math, art, sustainability, creativity, and innovation. The Faire will consist of hands-on activities centered around unique solutions, creativity, and construction.
Who is a maker?
Anyone can be a maker! All you have to do is use your creativity and skill to make something. We are looking for student makers interested in displaying and sharing items they have created.
Items could include, but are not limited to:
- Lego creations
- Handmade musical instruments
- Student-created tools to solve a problem
- Crochet/knitting projects
- Handmade toys
If your student/family is interested in sharing items at the Maker Faire, please complete the sign-up form.
Do you have some spare time during the school day that you would be willing to invest in CCES? We have opportunities to work directly with children as well as clerical activities. We have an immediate need for afternoon help (2:35pm+) with sight words for 2nd graders. If you are interested, please contact Christy Pine at email@example.com to get involved! Thanks so much for your support! Even 20mins of your time can make a difference!
