It is time to get ready for our annual Trunk-or-Treat event at CCES! Join us on Friday, Oct 30 from 5:30-7pm (rain date Monday, Nov 2) to spend time with friends, join in the costume parade, and collect treats from decorated trunks in the CCES parking lot. This is a community favorite and a special tradition at CCES. We need LOTS of family participation to help make this event great this year. Ways to participate include:

• Participate in the Pumpkin Decorating Contest – We’re excited to open this year’s annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest to BOTH staff and our CCES community! Interested in joining the fun? Sign up here to decorate a pumpkin. Students, families, friend groups, scout groups or sports teams, staff, and other members of the community are all invited to participate. You will need to provide your own pumpkin. Choose a plastic/craft pumpkin OR a real pumpkin that has NOT been carved (to help prevent rotting). Students will vote on their favorite pumpkins during Technology class the week before Trunk-or-Treat, and winning pumpkins receive a prize! Winners will be announced, and all decorated pumpkins will be raffled off by the PTA at Trunk or Treat. Pumpkins are due to the CCES main office on Wednesday, October 21st.
• Host a trunk – Sign up to host a trunk! Be creative and decorate a trunk as a candy station during the event. Those “trunking” can arrive at 4:45 to set up. Please note, no other vehicles will be permitted in the parking lot. Please consider carpooling, walking, or street parking.
• Volunteer – We need a few parent volunteers to help sell raffle tickets, run the tattoo/craft station, serve as candy runners, direct traffic, and help with set-up/clean-up. Please consider giving an hour of your time to help make this a fun and safe event for all!
• Donate candy – We’ll need LOTS of donated candy to replenish our “trunk-ers” during the event – sign up here. Drop off a bag of candy or two at the wagons near the blacktop when you arrive. Email president@clemenscrossingpta.org if you prefer to coordinate candy donation ahead of time.
