The Reflections arts recognition program is designed to inspire and celebrate your kid’s creativity. To participate, students create a piece of art that reflects this year’s theme, “I Matter Because…”, in any of 6 different categories – dance, film, literature, music, photography, or visual arts. Each piece is evaluated on interpretation of the theme, creativity and artistic merit. EVERY artwork will be celebrated. Reflections is not just for “artsy” kids – it’s for EVERY kid! And this is a great year for kids to think about why they matter!
Artwork must be submitted by November 24. See our Reflections page for full details, and the video below for inspiration!
It’s time to Haunt Out Hunger with CCES! Let’s get “together” for a virtual walk to raise funds for the CCES Blessings in a Backpack, helping to feed our local families. Click here (pdf) to get more details. The first 15 families to donate $30 will receive a free CCES facemask and the first 10 families to donate $100 will receive a free Vera Bradley backpack. All participating families will get a goodie bag. Hope you can join us!
Our CCES PTA Read-a-thon will run October 7-16. Please consider asking your extended family and friends to sponsor your child in the Read-a-thon. 100% of the proceeds benefit the CCES PTA and the many programs that enrich the students, support our teachers and build lasting memories.
The homeroom with the most participation (how many kids participated and submitted forms) will earn a Starbucks gift card for their teacher and a Roaring Event for each student! A Roaring Event is awarded to students with exemplary ROARing behavior. It entitles the student to 2 ROAR tickets. ROAR tickets can be redeemed for special prizes.
We have two options for submitting donations and pledges: our Read-a-thon webpage or printed out and mailed to the school (forms attached below). All forms and donations are due by Friday, October 23. Thanks for your support!
